Careful planning and embracing the unknown are two divergent ideas that Victoria believes complement each other perfectly. Guided by the Spanish phrase "Se hace camino al andar" (You make the path by walking), she always takes the first step even when the path isn’t entirely clear. This philosophy led her to join Fish and Associates as a Client Service Associate in September 2024, marking a significant career change.
Victoria's passion for financial empowerment is personal. Growing up her parents taught her the basics of saving and budgeting, but conversations about investing were rare. She learned that by herself and then shared that knowledge with family and friends. After working at Starfish Project, where she helped survivors of human trafficking achieve financial freedom, she decided to expand her mission of helping others achieve financial freedom by joining Fish and Associates.
Originally from South Bend, Indiana, Victoria spent part of her childhood in Lisbon, Portugal, and adulthood in Beijing, China which sparked her sense of adventure and love for immersing herself in local cultures wherever she travels. Thanks to her family's roots in Ecuador, she’s fluent in English and conversational in Spanish and is eager to expand her financial vocabulary to serve Memphis's growing Hispanic community. Her ultimate goal is to become a financial advisor, helping women and other marginalized groups navigate their financial futures.
When Victoria isn’t traveling, she enjoys playing with her puppy, reading, cooking and baking anything that involves sourdough. She’s also an active member of the Junior League of Memphis, where she leads branding efforts and volunteers with organizations like the Refugee Empowerment Program.
