Meet the Team
Kathy Fish – President and Senior Advisor
“Live life on purpose.” That’s the mission of Kathy Fish, President and Senior Advisor at Fish and Associates. She established the firm in 1992 with an unshakeable belief that “with discipline and a plan, you can do anything you set out to do.”
Kathy will help you craft a truly customized financial plan that takes into account much more than your monetary assets. Her approach and the culture she has exemplified at the firm is “a return on life, not just a return on your investment.” A gifted communicator, Kathy helps break down complex ideas to educate people and help them gain control of their finances and future, no matter what it may hold.
Kathy received an MBA from the University of Memphis and has several professional designations. She is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional as well as a Chartered Life underwriter and a Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor. Kathy has repeatedly been featured in the Memphis Business Journal as one of the top financial planners in the community. While her dedication to continuing education makes her valuable to clients, what speaks volumes is the staying power of her firm: a Memphis fixture for more than 25 years.
Her love for the city of Memphis stretches into her free time. She serves as a board member for multiple nonprofits including Choices, Playback Memphis, and the Benjamin L. Hooks Institute for Social Change She also is an ambassador for the Baptist College of Health Sciences. When Kathy isn’t serving others, you may find her in a warrior pose (she loves yoga) or biking with her husband.
Kerry Jackson – Lead Advisor and Director of Client Services
You could say that a career in financial planning chose Kerry, instead of the other way around. She anticipated a career in film but after completing her degree at University of Toronto, she wanted more out of life. Driven by her passion for helping people alleviate anxiety and uncertainty, she fell in love with integrated financial planning. In her words, financial planning “doesn’t feel like a job, it just feels like exactly what I am supposed to do. And I love it!” Since joining the firm in 2010, Kerry has taken after the example of her mother, Kathy, and become a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional, holding her Series 7 (General Securities) Series 66 (Uniform Combined State Law) and TN insurance licenses.
As the Lead Advisor and Director of Client Services, Kerry manages the day-to-day tasks of financial planning while overseeing the client service staff. She specializes in serving the firm’s young professional clients, providing them with financial planning services and investment guidance.
Kerry has lived in Memphis her entire life and considers it an honor to serve the community she loves so dearly. In her free time, she is serving another kind of client: ones with four legs and fur! Kerry is a dedicated advocate for animals, volunteering at local animal rescue groups and even taking in an occasional foster to spend some quality time with her dogs Emmy and Elliott.
Xanthe Mumm-Saucier – Senior Client Service Associate
Xanthe’s compassion and drive make her an incredible asset to the Fish & Associates team. The work ethic she brings to the table means she never settles for anything less than her best for clients and her desire to make a connection with everyone she assists gives her a unique ability to exude a sense of calm, confidence, and reassurance.
Joining Fish & Associates in 2019 as a Client Service Associate, and becoming Senior Client Service Associate in 2022, Xanthe assists the team by mapping out investment and estate plans, processing money requests, and taking care of a great deal of the paperwork involved with establishing investment accounts. Another main aspect of her role at the firm is guiding clients through the insurance policy process, expertly taking on any service request that comes her way. A self-proclaimed “spreadsheet queen,” it’s no surprise that Xanthe is a master of organizing data.
Xanthe was born in New Orleans, LA and has lived in Memphis since 2005. She attended the University of Memphis Fogelman College of Business and Economics, graduating with honors and a degree in management and finance. Xanthe is also a licensed accident/health and life insurance producer.
Is there anything Xanthe cannot do? She has a creative side and loves to truly get all she can out of the many experiences life has to offer. Her titles and pursuits are many: author, traveler, singer, hiking enthusiast, performer, yogi, and thespian, just to name a few. She isn’t likely to stop anytime soon, as her next endeavor includes acquiring professional certifications in management, data analytics, and leadership.
Outside of the office she’s usually walking her dogs, Ella and Waylon or performing somewhere around the city.
Ligia Romero – Client Service & Operations Associate
There is great contentment in finding your calling, Ligia can attest to that. Her journey to the financial services industry led her on a unique path, and now she turns her experience into insightful perspective as she helps others utilize the resources they have to discover their own path and purpose in life.
Joining the Fish & Associates team in January 2021 was a natural next step after serving as an executive assistant to a financial planner in LA. Ligia sees each day as an opportunity to learn, gleaning all she can as she observes all aspects of a client’s financial life to formulate a clear picture of their standing and progress. In addition to supporting senior leadership in financial planning, she manages many administrative functions for the firm to keep operations running smoothly.
A Los Angeles transplant, Ligia is delighted to be close to her family now making her home in Memphis. She holds a Bachelor of Architecture degree from the University of Southern California. One of her immediate goals is to obtain her Certified Financial Planner designation.
Be sure to ask Ligia about her time serving as a Peace Corps volunteer in Honduras. She is a naturally gifted creator, often found putting her artistic side to work making paper-mâché sculptures and piñatas.
Rachel Bullard – Client Service & Operations Associate
Helping every client feel as though they are her only client: that’s Rachel’s motto each day as she guides clients to a confident understanding of their financial plan. The daughter of a CPA and an attorney, it’s no surprise Rachel has built a robust career in the financial planning industry—it’s a perfect combination of both the precise nature of the law and numbers.
Rachel delivers unparalleled personal service and educational guidance in her role at Fish and Associates, taking the time to build unique personal relationships with her clients. As one of the few licensed female professionals in an otherwise male-dominated industry, Rachel stands out as a true client advocate leading with empathy and kindness. Prior to joining the firm in the beginning of 2021, she spent more than 15 years in larger financial corporations including Regions Bank and Charles Schwab.
Rachel holds a B.B.A. from The University of Mississippi, as well as several professional certifications including her insurance and mortgage broker licenses, and her Series 7 and Series 63 investment licenses.
Outside of the office you might find Rachel volunteering at the animal shelter or practicing yoga. She enjoys Ole Miss home football games in Oxford, MS and spending time with her best friend and mentor, her 90-year-old grandfather. Rachel loves to joke around and laugh, and believes laughter is the best medicine!
